Project Engineer required for a switchgear provider based in Selby. Currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team in a full-time on-site capacity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing day to-day project management, planning, design, and engineering activities. The position requires strong electrical engineering expertise.
Project Engineer Overview
Managing the entire project life cycles from order to invoice
Mechanical design - Inventor
Creating electrical design schematics
Efficiently ordering of parts
Supervising the manufacturing process of the project
Handling amendments and variations
Conducting Witness Testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Coordinating deliveries and installations
Organizing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Full and sole client interfacing
Project Engineer Requirements
Excellent communication skills
Proven experience in project management and project engineering
Ability to plan and execute projects from initiation to completion
Proficient in electrical engineering principles and practices
Some knowledge of Inventor & AutoCAD is required
Competence in reading, producing, and interpreting technical drawings andschematics
Previous experience in the switchboard or power distribution industry ispreferred
Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related field
