An established manufacturing and engineering firm based in Oldbury is looking for a motivated and reliable Fabricator / MIG Welder to join their production team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced workshop environment, perfect for someone with a solid background in metal preparation and welding.
Key Responsibilities:
* MIG Welding: Carrying out high-quality MIG welding on various components and structures.
* Drilling & Grinding: Operating drills and handheld grinders to finish components to a high standard.
* Material Preparation: Ensuring all parts are prepped, cleaned, and ready for the next stage of the fabrication process.
* Manual Handling: Moving materials safely around the workshop.
* General Fabrication: Assisting the wider team with general workshop duties and prep work as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Proven experience in MIG welding and working within a fabrication or engineering environment is essential.
* Skillset: Proficiency with power tools, specifically grinders and drills.
* Reliability: We need someone ready to hit the ground running this coming Tuesday.
* Technical: Ability to read technical / engineering drawings.
* Attitude: A "can-do" approach with a sharp eye for detail and safety.
