Contingency Insurance Broker (Live Events) – London Market
We’re supporting a highly regarded international insurance group in the appointment of a Contingency Insurance Broker, specialising in Live Music & Events.
This role sits at the heart of the London Market, acting as a key intermediary between internal producers and both Lloyd’s and Company markets, managing the full placement lifecycle across UK and US business.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for handling complex contingency risks from initial enquiry through to placement and ongoing servicing, working closely with brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing incoming insurance enquiries and conducting risk analysis
- Preparing and issuing market presentations and quote slips
- Managing the placement process with Lloyd’s and company markets
- Producing MRC slips and handling documentation via PPL
- Liaising with underwriters to secure terms and approvals
- Supporting policy administration, endorsements, and client servicing
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting claims activity where required
About You
- Strong understanding of London Market insurance practices
- Experience within Contingency Insurance (live events experience highly desirable)
- Familiarity with PPL and MRC slip production
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple placements in a fast-paced environment
- Professional qualifications (CII/ACII) beneficial
