How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About Gourmaze

We create tech-powered food adventures across the city. Over the last 4 years, we’ve built something people genuinely love and now we’re ready to grow. After finding product-market fit in London, in May 2025, we launched in Singapore to validate the model in a new city/country. We have just completed our fundraising round so we can commence our long-term goal of expanding into more cities and ultimately building a globally trusted brand. Right now, it’s just the two Founders, our Head of Growth, and a small freelance team. We’re looking for someone hands-on, sharp, and excited to help shape what comes next.

    The Role

As Founder's Associate, you'll work directly alongside the Founders, owning workstreams that keep the business running and playing your part in enabling the company to grow. It's a broad role by design. One day we might need help setting up a maze, trying out new restaurants, coordinating contracts, legals, and OTA listings. The next you're reconciling end-of-month accounts, supporting a sales campaign, or handling customer enquiries. If you like variety, ownership, and the feeling of building something real, this is the role for you. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership, impact, and the chance to build on a strong foundation for growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Scale the product - Help build new maze experiences, build the blueprint for scaling, document SOPs, and launch in new markets
    • Legal - Coordinate supplier agreements, venue contracts, and commercial terms. Protect Gourmaze IP and aid with administrative tasks e.g. Insurance renewals.
    • Telemarketing - Support outbound outreach to drive corporate bookings and venue partnerships
    • OTA management - Help set up and optimise our listings on platforms like Viator and GetYourGuide
    • Finance - EOM reconciliation to close out each month cleanly with restaurant partners and tracking expenses in QuickBooks
    • Product BAU - Manage vendor and partner relationships, holding people accountable and maintaining quality. Pitch in on product work if required.
    • Sales & Marketing - Support sales and marketing activity, either ongoing or around new launches. Assist with campaigns, content, and partnerships as needed
    • Customer service - Aid with front-line customer comms if required.
    • Operations - Keep the business running smoothly, spot friction, build better systems, fix things before they become problems
    • Support the founders with research, strategic projects, and key decisions

    About You

    • You've had 2+ of experiences in a fast-moving environment i.e. Start-up, scale-up, operational, commercial or a generalist role
    • You're a natural generalist: comfortable switching between a spreadsheet, a customer email, and a supplier negotiation in the same afternoon
    • You're highly organised, proactive, and can take initiative for your own work.
    • You're commercially minded so you understand how a business makes money and you care about it
    • You understand finances, have experience managing numbers and a strong attention to detail.
    • You communicate clearly and warmly, whether with a customer, a venue, or a founder
    • You're excited by food, experiences, and the idea of building something people genuinely love
    • You’re comfortable testing and learning as you go.
    • You’re used to working independently and remotely.
    • Bonus if you have experience with OTA platforms (Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb Experiences) or a background in tourism/hospitality/experiences.

    What we offer:

    • Real ownership from day one for someone looking for responsibility.
    • Direct access to the founders learning how a business operated.
    • A competitive salary, reviewed as we grow.
    • Performance based Share Options.
    • Room to grow into a senior role as Gourmaze scales globally.
    • Flexible hours and the ability to work remotely if need be.
    • Code membership - discounts to restaurants and experiences around London
