Daily Cover Supervisor

Veritas Education are working in partnership with secondary schools across Wakefield to recruit reliable and confident Daily Cover Supervisors to support with short-term absence cover.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in schools, recent graduates, or experienced classroom staff seeking flexible work.

✅ The Role

Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absence
Deliver pre-set work and maintain a positive learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Support pupils to stay on task and engaged
Provide feedback to teaching staff where required

✅ The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching, etc.)
Confident leading a classroom independently
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Flexible, reliable, and professional
An interest in education and supporting pupil progressPrevious school experience is desirable but not essential.

✅ Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Two professional references
Ability to travel to schools across Wakefield
