How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

SEN Maths Teacher – Temp to Perm (Start September)
    Via The Education Specialists (TES)

Are you a passionate Maths teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist provision in the Atherton area from September on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a small, supportive school setting that caters for students with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH. The school prides itself on its nurturing approach, strong staff team, and commitment to helping every student achieve both academically and personally.

    The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to small classes of students who require additional support. A strong focus on behaviour management, relationship building, and tailored learning approaches is essential. You’ll be supported by experienced teaching assistants and a leadership team that values collaboration and staff development.

    Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Support students with SEMH and additional needs to access the curriculum
Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and leadership team
Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets where appropriate
    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision (preferred)
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Flexibility, resilience, and a team-focused mindset
    What’s on Offer:

    Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term stability
    Supportive and welcoming school environment
Small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratio
Ongoing support from The Education Specialists (TES)
Opportunity to secure a permanent role in a rewarding setting
If you’re ready to take the next step in your teaching career and want to be part of a setting where you can truly make an impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today or contact The Education Specialists (TES) for more information.
