How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role:Teacher of Boys' PE
    Location:Leicester
    Contract: Full-Time
    Salary: £32,916 - £51,048
    Start: September 2026

    Are you an energetic and committed Boys' PE Teacher ready to inspire the next generation? A secondary school in Leicester is seeking a passionate Physical Education specialist to join their team and drive excellence in sport, fitness, and teamwork.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to motivate students, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute to a vibrant and ambitious PE department.

    The Role

    Plan and deliver dynamic, engaging PE lessons that promote physical fitness and wellbeing
    Teach a broad range of sports and physical activities across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
    Foster teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship in all students
    Effectively manage behaviour to create a positive and focused learning environment
    Assess performance and provide constructive feedback to support progress
    Organise and contribute to fixtures, competitions, and extracurricular sport
    Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents/carers
    The Ideal Candidate

    QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
    Strong background in sports coaching and physical education
    Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
    Excellent communication and organisational abilities
    A genuine passion for boys' sport and student development
