How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    This role leads manufacturing operations within a highly regulated engineering environment. The General Manager - Manufacturing holds full accountability for site performance, safety, quality and delivery, driving operational excellence while developing capability, culture and continuous improvement across complex, low‑volume, high‑integrity production.

    Description

    General Manager - Manufacture

    * Holds full P&L accountability for manufacturing operations
    * Leads all production, planning, supply chain and site-based functions
    * Drives safety, quality, delivery and cost performance across the operation
    * Implements manufacturing strategy aligned to wider business objectives
    * Oversees continuous improvement, lean initiatives and operational maturity
    * Builds strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders
    * Leads, develops and succession-plans the senior site leadership team
    * Ensures compliance with regulatory, contractual and governance requirement

    Profile

    General Manager - Manufacture

    * Senior manufacturing leader from a regulated or safety‑critical sector
    * Proven experience leading complex production operations end‑to‑end
    * Strong background in operational excellence and continuous improvement
    * Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and performance
    * Credible leader able to influence at executive and customer level
    * Track record of developing leadership capability and workforce culture
    * Comfortable operating in secure, compliance-driven environments
    * Degree qualified or equivalent experience in engineering or manufacturing
