How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Exciting Opportunity for Multi-Skilled Crane Engineers - WH Scott Group

    WH Scott Group, a market leader in the lifting equipment industry, is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to clients across the UK and Ireland. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled / Maintenance / Installation Crane Engineers to join our dynamic team, working the in North Wales and North East area.

    About the Role

    As a Multi-Skilled Crane Engineer, you will:

    * Attend breakdowns, perform servicing, testing, and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.

    * Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the North Wales / North East Area

    * Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

    What We’re Looking For

    To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

    * Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on cranes/industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.

    * Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.

    * Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro-mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.

    * Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).

    * A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).
