How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Commercial Accountant - High‑Growth Business

    Location: London (on-site)

    Temp to Perm

We're representing a fast‑growing organisation seeking a hands‑on Commercial Accountant with strong financial instincts and real commercial drive. This role is ideal for someone who has mastered core finance, understands how value is created operationally, and is ready to step into broader business leadership.

You'll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, controls, and commercial insight across multiple divisions, while also supporting investment decisions, acquisitions, pricing, and performance improvement. This is a high‑visibility role with genuine influence and the opportunity to shape growth.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead day‑to‑day finance operations and deliver accurate month‑end and year‑end reporting.

Produce detailed P&L, balance sheet and cashflow analysis with commercial commentary.

Own budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance tracking.

Strengthen controls, governance and working capital management.

Support cashflow forecasting, including rolling 13‑week models.

Partner with operational and sales teams to analyse revenue, costs and margin opportunities.

Support property‑related accounting (leases, business rates, landlord analysis).

Contribute to financial modelling for investments and acquisitions.

Drive improvements in systems, automation and reporting (NetSuite desirable).

Prepare audit materials and liaise with external advisors.

    Candidate Profile

    ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist.

Strong technical accounting and financial control background.

Commercial experience in a fast‑paced SME or multi‑site environment.

Experience managing or developing a small finance team.

Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.

Interest in process improvement and AI‑enabled tools.

Skilled in cashflow forecasting, budgeting and management reporting.

Confident communicator able to influence non‑financial stakeholders.

Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems (advantageous).

    Why This Role?

This is a standout opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and into true business leadership. You'll have visibility, influence, and the chance to shape the future of a growing organisation.

If you're driven by impact, commercial ownership, and the opportunity to grow with a business, we'd love to hear from you.
