How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Manage fire protection projects from pre-construction through to completion

    * Oversee M&E elements including fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and associated works

    * Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers

    * Ensure compliance with current fire safety and building regulations

    * Monitor project programmes, budgets, and risk

    * Carry out site visits, inspections, and progress meetings

    * Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders

    * Ensure all health & safety standards are met and maintained

    Requirements:

    * Proven experience as a Project Manager within M&E or fire protection

    * Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and M&E services

    * Knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and industry standards

    * Relevant qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar (desirable)

    * SMSTS or equivalent

    * Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

    What’s on Offer:

    * Competitive salary and package

    * Opportunity to work on high-profile London projects

    * Supportive and growing company with clear progression routes

    * Long-term pipeline of secured work

    If you’re an M&E-focused Project Manager with experience in fire protection, or looking to move into this sector, this could be a great next step
