How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new role
    The client is looking to attract an ambitious, forward-thinking Accountant to support the Finance Director in a demanding and busy role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, purpose-driven organisation. Core responsibilities include:
    > Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function and maintaining bookkeeping for corporate entities, ensuring all activities are completed accurately, on time, and to a high standard.> Prepare and post month-end close and ad-hoc journals for corporate entities and support month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of monthly management reports, and ensure balance sheet control account reconciliations comply with group internal control policies.
    > Prepare and process payroll journals for corporate entities and perform month-end payroll balance reconciliations.
    > Follow up with department heads to ensure timely invoice approvals, respond promptly to queries, and escalate potential issues.
    > Complete monthly bank reconciliations within agreed deadlines and liaise with the Treasury team regarding cash requirements and cash flow forecasting.
    > Proactively identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and reconciliation procedures in line with accounting policies, financial regulations, and best practice.

    What you'll need to succeed
    > Extensive knowledge of general accounting experience and double entry knowledge
    > SUN systems, strong Excel
    > Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders in an effective manner
    > Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in double‑entry accounting
