How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assistant Site Manager (Flooring Background)
    📍 London / Surrounding Areas
    💰 £40,000 – £45,000 + Package (DOE)

    The Role

    We’re working with a well-established flooring contractor delivering commercial and residential projects across London.

    They’re looking for an Assistant Site Manager who knows flooring properly — not just on paper, but from real, hands-on experience.

    This isn’t a clipboard role. You’ll be on-site, in it daily, supporting delivery, managing trades, and making sure jobs run properly from start to finish.

    If you’ve come off the tools or already stepped into supervision and want a genuine step up — this is it.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    * Supporting the Site Manager on live flooring projects

    * Coordinating labour, subcontractors, and materials

    * Keeping jobs moving — on time, on spec, no excuses

    * Ensuring H&S standards are followed properly (not just tick-box)

    * Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams

    * Problem-solving on site — because things never go perfectly

    What They’re Looking For

    * Background in flooring (essential) – commercial or residential

    * Experience as a Supervisor, Working Foreman, or Assistant Site Manager

    * Strong understanding of flooring materials & install processes

    * Organised, proactive, and able to handle pressure on site

    * Good communicator — can deal with lads on site and clients professionally

    * Someone who wants to progress, not just coast
