How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A leading technology manufacturer is seeking a Senior Electronics Buyer to own procurement for PCBs, PCBAs and electronic components. This role blends commercial strategy with hands‑on technical involvement, influencing engineering decisions and strengthening a global supply chain.

    This is a role split between supporting NPI projects; sourcing new components from international suppliers as well as managing ongoing suppliers and component shortage challenges.

    What You’ll Do

    * Lead commodity strategy aligned with technology roadmaps, cost targets and project timelines

    * Select and manage suppliers globally, negotiating competitive pricing and terms

    * Track component risk, EOL issues and obsolescence using industry tools

    * Review BOMs with Engineering to ensure long‑lifecycle, low‑risk component choices

    * Source hard‑to‑find/obsolete parts while maintaining strict counterfeit controls

    * Drive NPI readiness, from cost negotiation to production process qualification

    * Lead value engineering, supplier resourcing and quality improvement projects

    * Oversee supplier quality performance, issue resolution and continuous improvement

    What You’ll Bring

    We are looking for someone with a strong background in electronics procurement and a solid understanding of PCBs, PCBAs, semiconductors and components.

    Proven negotiation and supplier management skills are also required and a CIPS qualification is highly desirable.
