Electrical & Instrumentation Manager
Engineering Department
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an Engineering Department as the lead of highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation teams within a lower-tier COMAH facility. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Electrical & Instrumentation Manager for an immediate start.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for the management of the Electrical & Instrumentation departments, including a team of 14 engineers, as well as external contractors as required.
Project delivery responsibility, including the design, specification, and installation of all electrical and instrumentation equipment for capital and maintenance projects, ensuring expenditure is controlled within authorised budgets.
Full accountability for Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance operations, including the provision, operation, and continuous development of maintenance systems.
Safety, Health & Environmental leadership: promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, as well as internal rules and procedures.
Liaison at all levels across the organisation, with external interaction including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.Qualifications and Experience
Minimum HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Instrumentation & Control (degree-level qualification desirable).
At least 10 years of post-qualification practical experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role, gained within an instrumentation and control environment.
Expert-level experience in PLC and HMI programming, ideally including RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View.
Strong understanding of ATEX regulations and hazardous area classification.
Good understanding of functional safety in an industrial process plant environment.
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing operational priorities.
Proficient in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Excellent personnel and people management skills.
Strong IT skills, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.Package and Benefits
