How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior BMS Project Engineer

    Are you looking to break into the world of Building Management Systems (BMS)? This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a mechanical, electrical or facilities management background who wants to transition into a specialist engineering role within a rapidly growing sector.

    This position is designed to be highly training-focused, offering structured development, hands-on project exposure, and clear progression into a fully-fledged BMS Project Engineer.

    The Role

    As a Junior BMS Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of BMS projects across a range of commercial and critical environments. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle while developing both your technical and project management skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assisting with the design and implementation of BMS solutions
    Supporting project delivery from initial concept through to commissioning
    Learning BMS software, controls strategies, and system integration
    Working closely with senior engineers on-site and remotely
    Supporting testing, commissioning, and system optimisation
    Producing technical documentation and reports

    Training & Development

    Structured on-the-job training with experienced BMS engineers
    Exposure to leading BMS systems and technologies
    Ongoing technical development and mentoring
    Clear progression pathway into a Project Engineer position

    Key Requirements

    Good understanding of building services (HVAC, electrical systems, etc.)
    Strong willingness to learn and develop within BMS
    Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    Full UK driving licence (preferred)
    Relevant qualifications in engineering or building services (desirable)
