How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Role

    We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join a fast-paced food environment. This role is integral to ensuring that all products consistently meet customer specifications and food safety standards. The successful candidate will work closely with production and technical teams, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Conduct online quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications

    * Carry out intake inspections of raw materials and complete associated documentation

    * Perform label checks to ensure accuracy and compliance

    * Collect and submit shelf-life samples

    * Ensure all QA equipment is calibrated and cleaned in line with procedures

    * Accurately complete all QA documentation and reports

    * Identify and report quality issues to the Quality/Technical Manager in a timely manner

    * Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve quality concerns

    * Maintain strict adherence to QA procedures, food safety standards, and health & safety policies

    * Support other QA functions (e.g., intake, outloading) as required

    Key Requirements

    * Previous experience in a QA role within food manufacturing

    * Understanding of HACCP and BRC standards

    * Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

    * Good communication skills and confidence in raising issues when necessary

    * Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)

    * Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented approach

    * Basic Food Hygiene certification (desirable)

    * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    * High level of accuracy and organisational skills
