How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Year 2 Teacher - Leyland

    Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real impact in Key Stage 1? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Leyland.

    This is a long-term, full-time position starting in September 2026, offering stability and the opportunity to become a valued member of the school community.

    The Role

    As a Year 2 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils through a crucial stage in their learning, helping them build strong foundations in preparation for Key Stage 2.

    Location: Leyland, Lancashire
    Start Date: September 2026
    Position: Year 2 Teacher
    Contract: Long-term, full-time
    Pay: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly (with potential for pay to scale)

    Key Responsibilities

    Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
    Supporting pupils' academic and personal development, ensuring they reach their full potential.
    Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments.
    Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
    Assessing progress and implementing targeted interventions where needed.
    Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must:

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable).
    Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
    Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    Be committed, reliable, and passionate about teaching.
    Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
    Provide professional references and have the legal right to work in the UK.
