A well-established and growing organisation is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a long-term career in accounting within a supportive and structured environment.
Working as part of a busy Accounts team, you will support the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. Responsibilities will include:
Processing purchase invoices accurately and within deadlines
Managing selected purchase ledger accounts
Handling supplier statement reconciliations
Processing timesheets on a weekly basis
Assisting with intercompany reconciliations
Supporting ledger accuracy and financial controls
Responding to internal and external queries via phone and email
Providing general administrative support to the finance function
Assisting with system improvements and ongoing projects, including ERP implementation
Supporting audit processes when required
This position is ideally suited to someone looking to establish a career within finance or accounting. You may already have some exposure to a finance environment or be keen to build your experience in a structured role.
Key attributes include:
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
A genuine interest in developing a career within accounting
Previous experience in a finance or purchase ledger environment is beneficial but not essential.
