Reporting to the UK Service Manager, this is a national position supporting customers with installation, maintenance, and technical service on their high-performance machinery
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machine tools both electrically and mechanically
Install, commission, and formally hand over new CNC equipment at customer sites
Deliver operator training covering machine use and routine maintenance
Provide ongoing after-sales, technical, and application support to customers
Carry out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive breakdown support
Feedback on technical findings and service insights to internal departments and the factory
Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to ensure high service standardsField Service Engineer Requirements
Demonstrable experience working as a Field Service Engineer
In-depth technical expertise across:
Electrical and electronic systems
Mechanical engineering principles
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
HND qualification or equivalent time-served engineering background
Previous experience within machine tools or metal-forming equipment environmentsPackage and Benefits:
Salary up to £40,000 (with allowances and overtime, the engineer will earn £50,000)
