This Marine Field Service Engineer is a position covering the UK and Internationally, working Monday to Friday. The position is paying a basic salary of £35,000-£45,000 and there is lots of overtime opportunities. The position comes with a vehicle and relevant specialist tools. The role is 75% travel, with most travel being international for a few days at a time.
As the Marine Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in servicing, repairing and overhauling exhaust gas turbochargers used on large marine engines and industrial power systems. Working from a UK workshop base, you’ll also travel extensively worldwide to support work on vessels, in shipyards and at customer facilities, often in time-critical environments where minimising downtime is essential. You will be responsible for carrying out strip-downs, inspections, measurement and reassembly of turbocharger units, as well as fault finding, performance checks and reporting in line with OEM standards. The role also involves supporting workshop-based overhauls and rebuilds, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.
You will need:
· Previous experience within Marine Engineering
· Previous experience with turbochargers such as those manufactured by ABB/Accelleron, MAN or MET
· Experience with newer generation turbochargers is desirable
· Willing to travel Internationally
· A full UK driving license
