How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in Salford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead residential and affordable housing projects across Greater Manchester and the wider North West region.

    The Senior Quantity Surveyor

    The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will take on a lead role in delivering cost consultancy and employer's agent services across a variety of new build housing schemes. Working closely with clients, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage projects from feasibility through to completion, providing expert commercial advice and ensuring successful project delivery.

    This role is well suited to a Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys client-facing work, managing multiple schemes, and playing a key part in growing a high-performing team.

    Residential and affordable housing experience is highly desirable, along with a strong background in contract administration and stakeholder engagement.

    Required Experience:

    Demonstrable experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or client-side environment
    Proven track record delivering projects as an employer's agent
    Strong knowledge of residential and/or affordable housing schemes
    MRICS qualified or working towards chartership preferred
    Excellent communication and leadership skills
