Position Overview:
As a CMM Programmer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of precision engineered plastic and metallic components. You will be responsible for programming and operating the best and most precise CMMs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a truly innovative environment, contributing to the success of our business and playing a key role in meeting the rigorous quality standards of the customers and helping the development of new products.
As this business has exceptional capabilities, it plays a big role in R&D and pilot studies for its customers, so you will have plenty of variety and fresh challenges in offline programming for the next generation of products.
Key Responsibilities:
Offline programming and operation of CMMs and optical measuring machines, to inspect and validate the dimensional accuracy of precision machined components.
Collaborate with the production and quality teams to establish and optimise inspection processes.
Develop and maintain CMM programs, ensuring they meet the specifications and requirements of automotive manufacturers.
Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured components, identifying and addressing any deviations from quality standards.
Work closely with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on tooling and process improvements.
Generate comprehensive reports detailing inspection results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
As a CMM Programmer, you must have a sound fundamental understanding of GD&T
Ideally, you will have a track record of Offline CMM Programming (CNC programmers will also be considered)
Familiarity with precision engineered components with complex dimensions.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and address issues with precision.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
A collaborative approach to work is vital as you will be in a very friendly, cross-functional team.
