How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Monday - Friday (Days / 45 hours per week)

    £46,425- £48,188 + 33 days paid holiday + Overtime paid at time ½ + Bonus

    Are you a HGV Mechanic / Technician looking for a new role where you will work for the UK's leading Manufacturer of Heavy Goods Vehicles in a days based role with guaranteed overtime paid at time 1/2?

    Based in Somerset, my client is looking for a HGV Technicians / Mechanic where you will joining a well organised, highly experienced Workshop where you will be carrying out fault diagnosis on chassis mounted equipment, ensuring all work and repairs are carried out to the highest standard, preparation of HGV's for MOT's & other general mechanic duties.

    This is a brilliant opportunity for a HGV Mechanic / Technician with a proven background servicing Heavy Good Vehicles looking for the next step in their career where you will be joining the UK's leading OEM of Heavy Goods Vehicles.

    The Role:

    Depot based RCV / HGV Technician / Mechanic
    Repair, Maintenance & Servicing of RCV's
    Monday - Friday - 45 hours per week + guaranteed overtime paid at time 1/2The Person:

    HGV Technician / Mechanic with a NVQ Level 3 or time served or Equivalent
