Mill Setter/Operator

Nelson Recruitment Services are recruiting for a permanent Mill Setter / Operator on behalf of their manufacturing client based in West Bromwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a well-established manufacturing business.

Pay & Hours

Hours: 39 hours per week

Shift Pattern (Rotating):
Week 1:

Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

Week 2:

Monday – Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Friday: 1:00pm – 8:00pm

Hourly Pay Rate: £13.50 – £15.15 (depending on experience)

Shift Allowance: 22% for rotating shifts

What You’ll Do

* Set and operate cold roll forming mills, presses, and ancillary equipment

* Produce parts at the required production rate and report any issues affecting output

* Take responsibility for the quality of parts produced

* Maintain accurate production and quality records

* Ensure good 5S standards are maintained in the work area

* Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities

* Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times

* Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

* At least 5 years’ experience setting and operating cold roll forming mills

* Strong knowledge of roll forming processes

* Experience setting and operating roll forming equipment, presses, and ancillary equipment

* Press setting experience is desirable

* Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently

* Motivation to achieve and exceed targets safely while maintaining required quality standards

* Ability to comply with and promote ATIRE and SQDC values
