How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Site Engineer (QA / Documentation Focus)
    Location: Tuddenham
    Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure

We are seeking a detail-driven Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Tuddenham, with a primary focus on quality assurance, documentation, and technical compliance.

This role sits within a highly respected, privately owned civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across the UK. The business is known for delivering complex earthworks, remediation, and infrastructure schemes, supported by in-house plant, modern construction methods, and a commitment to innovation and sustainability. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for high standards, it offers a stable and progressive environment for engineers looking to develop their careers.

    The Role

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys the technical and procedural side of project delivery. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all works are correctly recorded, compliant, and fully auditable, working closely with site teams and subcontractors.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage and maintain QA documentation in line with project requirements

    * Complete ITPs, inspection check sheets, and quality records

    * Produce and update accurate as-built records

    * Support the site team with permits, paperwork, and technical submissions

    * Ensure all works meet specification, compliance, and regulatory standards

    * Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to uphold quality expectations

    About You

    * Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects

    * Strong understanding of QA processes and documentation

    * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

    * Confident communicator, able to work across multiple teams

    * Proactive and reliable, with a strong work ethic

    What’s on Offer

    * Opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme

    * Long-term project pipeline and career progression opportunities

    * Supportive, collaborative working environment

    * Investment in training and development

If you’re a Site Engineer who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and doing things the right way, this is a great opportunity to be part of a leading delivery team.
