How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Primary Teaching Assistant – World Class All-Through Hounslow School

    An all-through school in Hounslow is offering a Primary Teaching Assistant role from September, providing a rare opportunity to work within a seamless educational setting from early years through to sixth form. This Primary Teaching Assistant position is based in the primary phase, where strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and behaviour are carefully built. The school is known for its structured approach to teaching and its calm, purposeful classrooms, making it an ideal environment for a graduate looking to understand how effective practice begins early. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working closely with class teachers to ensure consistency and progress. This is a well-defined role with clear expectations and meaningful daily involvement in the classroom.

    Working as a Primary Teaching Assistant here means learning within a system that values precision and routine. Teachers plan collaboratively, and support staff are fully integrated into lessons rather than working on the margins. You will be coached on how to deliver interventions, manage behaviour positively, and support pupils at different stages of development. For those considering teaching, this Primary Teaching Assistant role offers direct insight into how strong primary provision underpins later academic success. Many graduates who start as a Primary Teaching Assistant in this school move into teacher training with a clear advantage.

    Key highlights:

    * Primary Teaching Assistant – full-time role starting September

    * Daily rate up to £115 depending on experience

    * Hounslow, West London within a high-performing all-through school

    * Ofsted Outstanding school with a strong primary provision

    * Full academic year contract with long-term progression opportunities

    * Ideal for graduates aiming to move into primary teaching

    * Structured environment with clear routines and consistent expectations

    What you’ll be doing:

    * Support class teachers in delivering phonics, literacy, and numeracy lessons

    * Lead small group interventions to reinforce key learning concepts

    * Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials

    * Provide targeted support to pupils who need additional guidance

    * Observe teaching strategies and develop your own classroom understanding

    * Encourage positive behaviour through consistent reinforcement of routines

    Ideal candidate for this Hounslow school:

    * High-achieving graduate with a 2:1 or above

    * Strong interest in primary education and early learning development

    * Considering a career in teaching and seeking meaningful experience

    * Clear communicator with a patient and structured approach

    * Able to commit full-time from September through the academic year

    Why join this Hounslow school?

    * All-through structure offers insight into long-term pupil development

    * Phonics and early reading programmes are carefully designed and consistently delivered

    * Staff are trained to use shared behaviour systems across all year groups

    * Clear progression routes into salaried teacher training within the trust

    * Senior leaders actively involved in supporting classroom practice

    * Opportunity to work in a setting where primary and secondary phases align closely

    How to apply:
