How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A well-regarded Camden primary school is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join its team September, supporting pupils with additional needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers a clear structure, consistent support from experienced SEN staff, and the chance to work closely with children who benefit from routine, patience, and skilled guidance. The school serves a diverse local community and has built a strong reputation for its inclusive practice and calm learning environment. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working both 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils access learning and build confidence day to day. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who wants to understand how SEN support works in a well-organised setting.

Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant here means being part of a team that plans carefully and communicates well. You will be guided by an experienced SENCo and class teachers who are clear about strategies, targets, and expectations. The school places real emphasis on consistency, meaning you will see how structured support leads to measurable progress over time. For a graduate or aspiring education professional, this SEN Teaching Assistant position provides valuable experience in behaviour support, communication strategies, and adapting learning for individual needs. Staff stay because expectations are clear and support is reliable.

    * Daily rate £100–£110 depending on experience

    * Camden location with strong transport links across North London

    * Ofsted Good primary school with a well-established SEN provision

    * Long-term contract starting ASAP through to July 2026

    * Work alongside an experienced SENCo with structured support systems

    * Opportunity to gain hands-on experience with autism, speech and language needs

    What you’ll be doing:

    * Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small, structured groups

    * Implement tailored strategies to support communication and engagement

    * Assist the class teacher with adapting lesson materials where needed

    * Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff

    * Encourage positive behaviour through consistent routines and clear expectations

    * Help create a calm, focused learning environment for all pupils

Ideal candidate for this Camden school:

    * Degree holder with a strong academic background (2:1 or above preferred)

    * Genuine interest in SEN, child development, or educational psychology

    * Experience with children or young people is beneficial but not essential

    * Patient, observant, and comfortable working in structured environments

    * Fully committed to a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role starting Sepember

    Why join this Camden school?

    * SEN provision is well-resourced with clear systems already in place

    * Leadership team provides practical guidance rather than general advice

    * Staff work with consistent routines that reduce uncertainty in the classroom

    * Opportunity to see long-term pupil progress through sustained support

    * Strong links with external specialists including speech and language therapists
