How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CDM Principal Design

    A fast growing, Multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy is seeking a CDM Principal Designer to join their expanding Health and Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CDM Principal Designer to work on a broad range of projects including commercial office fit-outs, residential developments and public sector schemes.

    The successful CDM Principal Designer will join a supportive and professional environment, working closely with experienced consultants and design teams. This role would suit a confident CDM Principal Designer looking to develop their career within a well-regarded consultancy.

    The CDM Principal Designer will benefit from exposure to high-profile London projects while taking on increasing responsibility. With a strong pipeline of secured work, the CDM Principal Designer will play a key role in delivering compliant and effective CDM services.

    The CDM Principal Designer's role

    The CDM Principal Designer will be responsible for delivering CDM Principal Designer duties in line with CDM 2015 regulations across multiple projects. This includes advising clients on their statutory responsibilities and coordinating health and safety during the pre-construction phase.

    The CDM Principal Designer will carry out design risk reviews, prepare and review pre-construction information, and liaise with architects, engineers and contractors to reduce risks. The role will also involve attending design meetings and ensuring all health and safety documentation is maintained to a high standard.

    The successful CDM Principal Designer will have:

    NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
    Membership of IOSH (GradIOSH or higher), APS membership desirable
    Experience acting as a CDM Principal Designer within a consultancy settingIn Return?
