How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Parts Advisor to join a busy and successful Parts Department based in Farnham.

    Working as part of a high performing team, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while driving sales and profitability. This is a fast paced, customer facing role where attention to detail, organisation, and a proactive sales approach are essential.

    You will also be required to support deliveries when needed, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
    Salary: £31,600 per annum 

    Key Responsibilities

    Handle all incoming internal and external calls, taking full ownership of enquiries
    Process customer orders via trade counter, phone, email, and online platforms
    Proactively maximise sales through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
    Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support repeat business
    Actively generate additional sales, particularly during quieter periods
    Monitor and maintain stock levels, placing orders where required
    Accurately complete all administration and invoicing processes
    Ensure stock accuracy by invoicing parts before dispatch
    Use catalogues and systems to correctly identify parts for customer requirements
    Maintain up-to-date price lists and product knowledge
    Adhere to company policies including credit control and payment procedures
    Operate a forklift truck safely (where applicable)
    Support health & safety practices and maintain a clean working environment
    Deliver parts to customers when required 

    Skills & Experience

    Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Parts Advisor role (essential)
    Strong technical knowledge of parts and components
    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
    Excellent communication and customer service skills
    Strong organisational and administrative ability
    IT literate (Microsoft Word & Excel)
    Forklift licence (desirable)
    Proactive, self-motivated, and a strong team player
    High attention to detail and accuracy
    Full UK driving licence (essential)
