How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We’re supporting an innovative product-led technology business developing advanced materials technologies for high-performance product applications across multiple sectors.

    As part of continued innovation investment, we’re looking for a Materials Project Manager to help drive development programmes from concept through to commercialisation.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a materials scientist, engineer or technical project professional looking to lead innovative product development programmes.

    Location: South London / Surrey border (On-site with some flexibility)

    The Role

    You’ll lead material development projects through planning, coordination and delivery, working across R&D, suppliers, manufacturing and commercial teams.

    This role combines technical understanding with project ownership across development programmes.

    You’ll be involved in:

    · Leading materials development projects from concept through to launch

    · Coordinating cross-functional teams across development, testing and production

    · Managing project plans, milestones, risks and technical deliverables

    · Working with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support scale-up and implementation

    · Reviewing technical data, troubleshooting issues and guiding decisions

    · Supporting innovation across polymer materials and next-generation product applications

    · Collaborating with international teams and occasional overseas travel

    About You

    You might come from a background in:

    · Materials Science

    · Materials Engineering

    · Polymer Science

    · Product / Materials Development

    · Technical Project Engineering / NPI

    We’d like to see experience in some of the following:

    · Polymer materials or related advanced materials

    · Materials or formulation development in an industrial setting

    · Project leadership or coordination of technical development programmes

    · Working cross-functionally with suppliers, engineering and manufacturing teams

    · NPI, scale-up or product development exposure

    · A commercial mindset around performance, cost and delivery
