A well‑regarded secondary school in the Walsall area is seeking a skilled and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students within its Resource Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who require tailored support in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role
Supporting students within the Resource Hub, working closely with SEN staff and teachers
Delivering small‑group and one‑to‑one interventions
Providing in‑class support to help pupils access learning and build independence
Assisting with behaviour regulation, emotional support, and learning engagement
Contributing to planning, pupil progress, and record‑keeping where appropriate
Acting as a positive role model, promoting high expectations and inclusionThe Ideal Candidate
Holds HLTA status or has significant experience at a high TA level
Experience supporting pupils with SEND (including ASD, SEMH, or additional learning needs)
Calm, patient, and resilient, with strong interpersonal skills
Confident supporting learning across a range of abilities
Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Committed to pupil wellbeing and inclusive practiceWhat the School Offers
