How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Development Representative

    • London (hybrid, 2 days per week)
    • Up to £35,000 + commission (OTE £43,000–£45,000) + benefits

Kioni Talent is working with a growing data and intelligence provider to hire a Business Development Representative into their London team.

This role is focused on generating new business opportunities and building pipeline. It would suit someone who enjoys the challenge of outbound sales, is motivated by targets, and wants to develop their career in a commercial environment.

You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. There is strong support from both the team and the wider business to help you learn the product, the market, and how to succeed in the role.

    The role

You’ll play a key part in driving growth by identifying and engaging new prospects, building relationships, and creating opportunities for the wider sales team.

    That will include:

    • Reaching out to potential customers through calls, emails, and LinkedIn
    • Building a pipeline of qualified opportunities
    • Researching target accounts and understanding their needs
    • Booking meetings for the senior sales team
    • Working closely with internal teams to refine messaging and approach

This is a role where resilience and consistency matter. The best BDRs here are proactive, comfortable with rejection, and motivated to keep improving.

    What they’re looking for

You don’t need a specific background, but you should be interested in sales and comfortable in a target-driven environment.

    Typically that might include:

    • Some experience in a commercial or customer-facing role (e.g. Recruitment, sales, hospitality, or similar)
    • Confidence communicating with a range of people
    • Resilience and the ability to stay motivated through rejection
    • A proactive mindset and willingness to pick up the phone
    • An interest in learning a new product and market

    Why this role

You’ll be joining a business investing in its sales function, with the opportunity to develop into more senior commercial roles over time.

There is strong support, and the chance to build a solid foundation in sales.

If you’d like to find out more, feel free to apply or get in touch.
