How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Design Manager – South West London

    Project: £50M Residential Development
    Salary: £80,000 per annum

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to join a major £50 million residential construction project in South West London. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in managing the design process on large-scale residential developments.

    About the Role
    You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to project completion. Working closely with consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team, you will ensure all design information is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with project requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage the design process across all project stages

    * Coordinate architects, consultants, and subcontractors

    * Review and manage design programmes and deliverables

    * Ensure design compliance with building regulations and project specifications

    * Identify and mitigate design risks and clashes

    * Support value engineering and cost-effective design solutions

    * Liaise closely with site and commercial teams

    * Ensure timely release of accurate design information

    Requirements

    * Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry

    * Strong background in residential projects preferred

    * Excellent coordination and communication skills

    * Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards

    * Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines

    * Relevant construction or design-related qualification
