The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced CMM Quality Inspector with a strong programming background to join a precision engineering environment.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of inspection processes, working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure components meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Program and operate CMM equipment (Mitutoyo) using MCOSMOS software
* Develop and implement pre-programmed inspection routines
* Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections
* Perform manual inspection using standard metrology equipment
* Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
* Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality records
* Support non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis
* Assist with calibration of inspection equipment
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities within quality processes
* Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector
* Strong knowledge of MCOSMOS (Mitutoyo CMM experience essential)
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
* Experience within precision engineering or regulated industries (medical device advantageous)
* Skilled in manual inspection techniques and measurement tools
* Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 13485 or ISO 9001
* Experience with quality documentation (FAIRs, NCRs, CAPA, etc.)
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
* Good communication skills and team-focused approach

£35000.00 - £40000.00 per year
