How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A rapidly growing and innovative facilities management provider is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality electrical compliance and maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of customer sites nationwide. This organisation is known for combining cutting-edge technology, including IoT solutions, with dependable compliance services, all underpinned by a strong commitment to exceptional customer experience.

The successful candidate will play a key role in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring all work is completed in line with current regulations and industry standards. Acting as a trusted representative on client sites, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive works efficiently, safely and to a consistently high standard. The role also involves carrying out proactive inspections, completing risk assessments, and ensuring all contractual service level agreements and performance targets are met.

This position requires someone who can build strong relationships with customers and site teams, communicate clearly, and maintain a professional and approachable presence at all times. Accuracy in recording work, completing certification and managing documentation through internal systems is essential, alongside a proactive approach to resolving issues and escalating concerns where necessary.

The role offers a varied working environment with travel to sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays. There is also a requirement to participate in an out-of-hours rota. All necessary tools and uniform will be provided.

Candidates should hold a full UK driving licence and be fully qualified to industry standards, including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as NVQ Level 3 with AM2 or equivalent. Inspection and testing qualifications are required, along with a JIB Gold Card. A minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience working across a range of electrical systems is expected.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and IT skills are important, as is a customer-focused mindset and a positive, can-do attitude. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that values its people, offers a supportive and collaborative culture, and provides genuine opportunities for personal and professional development in a fast-paced and rewarding environment
