How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Labourer Driver
    Location: Skelmersdale, WN8 9TW
    Salary: £14.17 per hour Paid Fortnightly + Excellent Benefits!
    Contract: Full time, Permanent

    We are now recruiting a reliable and hardworking Labourer Driver to join our operations team in Skelmersdale!
    You will play an essential role in supporting day-to-day site activities, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
    This role involves general labouring duties combines with driving responsibilities and requires a strong commitment to health and safety.
    As our Labourer Driver you will:
    * Prepare construction sites by clearing, tidying, and setting up work areas
    * Load, unload, move, and transport materials and equipment
    * Assist skilled tradespeople by providing tools, handling materials, and supporting tasks as required
    * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
    * Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules at all times
    * Carry out manual handling tasks safely and responsibly
    * Support the smooth day-to-day operation of sites as directed by management
    In order to be successful in this role it’s essential that you have:
    * Valid CSCS Card
    * Full UK driving licence, clean, held for a minimum of 2 years
    * Manual Handling training or willingness to complete
    * At least 1 years’ experience in a general labouring or construction environment
    * Strong health and safety awareness
    * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
    * Good communication skills
    * Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
    It would be great if you had:
    * First Aid qualification
    * Knowledge of construction materials and tools
    * Previous experience working with skilled trades
