How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

    Location: West Glasgow
    Salary: Up to £47,(Apply online only) (Inclusive of Flexibility Allowance) 
    Shift: Days (Monday–Friday, 07:30 – 16:00)

    Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a heavy industrial manufacturing site in West Glasgow. This role sits within a hands-on engineering team supporting a physically demanding production environment with large-scale machinery and moving equipment.

    The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will focus on maintaining electrical reliability across site, carrying out fault finding, planned maintenance and supporting breakdown response. You will be working across a range of equipment including drives, motors and control systems, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.

    The role will also involve supporting ongoing improvements and upgrade work across the site, requiring a flexible and proactive approach depending on operational demands.

    Sector – Factory Maintenance

    Heavy industrial manufacturing environment involving large mechanical systems and high-load material handling equipment.

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    Electrical Engineering Qualification
    Multi-Skilled Experience
    FMCG or Heavy Industrial background
    PLC experience

    Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    Strong electrical fault finding skills
    Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
    Experience working on production machinery
    Knowledge of motors, drives and control systems
    Ability to work both independently and within a team
    Strong communication and safe working practices

    Desirable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems
    Ability to PLC fault find
    Physically fit

    The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
