Warehouse Operative
Are you an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves? Our client, a well-established distributor based in Shefford, is looking for a dedicated and physically fit Warehouse Operative to join their busy, supportive team.
In this role you will be ensuring that goods are accurately processed, stored, and dispatched on time. Because this position involves manual handling of large stock items, we need someone with a strong work ethic, high energy, and the physical stamina to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Pick, pack, and prepare sales orders for timely dispatch, ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
* Process deliveries and shipments, including manually unloading containers and verifying items against documentation.
* Maintain accurate stock levels by assisting with regular stock takes, effective rotation, and optimised storage organisation.
* Uphold a high standard of housekeeping and ensure all inventory is correctly located and organised.
* Safely operate warehouse machinery (such as pallet trucks or forklifts) to move stock and assist with loading delivery vehicles.
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
* Physically fit, experienced in moving large warehouse stock items
* Forklift licence (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills with good attention to detail and accuracy
* Willingness to work flexibly and support other areas when required
* Full UK Driving Licence
