The Role
A senior payroll position supporting the leadership of a large, high-volume payroll function within a fast-growing, multi-site organisation.
You’ll oversee day-to-day payroll operations while playing a key role in a major system transformation project.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and oversee end-to-end payroll operations across a large workforce
* Supervise and guide payroll team members to ensure accuracy and deadlines are met
* Act as a key escalation point for complex payroll queries
* Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and internal controls
* Support payroll process improvements and operational efficiency
* Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and external providers
* Contribute to a major payroll system implementation project
The Ideal Candidate
* Strong UK end-to-end payroll experience (high volume)
* Experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity (or ready to step up)
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
* Keen interest in systems, transformation, and continuous improvement
