Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A well-established and growing building contractor is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive contractor environment, working across a range of construction projects.

The Role:
Reporting to senior commercial staff, you will assist with the financial and contractual management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Duties will include:

* Assisting with cost planning and budgeting

* Preparing valuations and applications for payment

* Supporting subcontractor procurement and account management

* Monitoring project costs and variations

* Assisting with final accounts

* Producing commercial reports and forecasts

* Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and clients

Requirements:

* Experience in a Quantity Surveying role or relevant construction commercial background

* Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards)

* Strong numerical and analytical skills

* Good communication and organisational ability

* Ambitious and eager to progress within a contractor environment

* Full UK driving licence preferred
