Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - DAYS ONLY

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.

We are recruiting a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer for a days‑only role within a heavy industrial / steel manufacturing environment.

The Role

Planned preventative maintenance and mechanical fault‑finding
Maintenance of gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, furnaces and cranes etc
Support breakdowns, reliability improvements, and asset performance
Supervise contractors and ensure safe working practices
Log work via CMMS etc
Work to LOLER, PUWER, and site safety standardsAbout You

Mechanical engineering qualification or time‑served apprenticeship
Experience in steel, heavy manufacturing or Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence, Glass, Aggregates etc or other manufacturing may be considered
Strong mechanical fault‑finding skills
