Your day to day will include:
Support the delivery of Dornan's EHS strategy on a large‑scale pharmaceutical construction project, with a strong focus on electrical safety, permit‑to‑work systems and energisation controls.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments (RAMS), ensuring compliance with Irish legislation, client EHS standards and Dornan procedures.
Lead incident reporting, investigations and close‑out actions, promoting a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across electrical and subcontractor teams.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings specific to high‑risk electrical and pharma‑grade construction activities.
Liaise closely with project management, client EHS representatives and subcontractors to drive high safety performance and achieve project EHS KPIs.
What we are looking for:
Recognised EHS qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction, or equivalent) with formal training in electrical safety and high‑risk construction activities.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in an EHS role on large‑scale construction projects, essentially within pharma, life sciences, data centres or cleanroom environments.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical works including LV/MV systems, isolation/LOTO, temporary power, commissioning and energisation processes.
Comprehensive understanding of Irish EHS legislation, Safe Electric standards, and experience working to strict client EHS governance and audit requirements.
Proven ability to influence and challenge site teams and subcontractors, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a firm but pragmatic approach to safety.
