How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

At Dornan we are currently recruiting for an experienced ehs advisor to cover a project in Limerick for us, specifically looking after night shift on site. The shift pattern is Mon - Wed 5pm - 5am and Thursday 5pm to 1am. The role requires hands on support, boots on ground presence for a pharmaceutical project.

Your day to day will include:

Support the delivery of Dornan's EHS strategy on a large‑scale pharmaceutical construction project, with a strong focus on electrical safety, permit‑to‑work systems and energisation controls.

Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments (RAMS), ensuring compliance with Irish legislation, client EHS standards and Dornan procedures.

Lead incident reporting, investigations and close‑out actions, promoting a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across electrical and subcontractor teams.

Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings specific to high‑risk electrical and pharma‑grade construction activities.

Liaise closely with project management, client EHS representatives and subcontractors to drive high safety performance and achieve project EHS KPIs.

    What we are looking for:

Recognised EHS qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction, or equivalent) with formal training in electrical safety and high‑risk construction activities.

Minimum 3–5 years' experience in an EHS role on large‑scale construction projects, essentially within pharma, life sciences, data centres or cleanroom environments.

Strong technical knowledge of electrical works including LV/MV systems, isolation/LOTO, temporary power, commissioning and energisation processes.

Comprehensive understanding of Irish EHS legislation, Safe Electric standards, and experience working to strict client EHS governance and audit requirements.

Proven ability to influence and challenge site teams and subcontractors, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a firm but pragmatic approach to safety.
