How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Lift Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) to join a prestigious and well-established lift company operating at a high-profile static site in Canary Wharf.

    This is a rare opportunity to work on a premium site servicing high-end, high-traffic lifts for blue-chip and corporate clients. The role focuses on service, maintenance, repair, and call-out duties within a single static location, offering stability, technical challenge, and strong earning potential.

    Key Responsibilities of a Lift Service & Repair Engineer:

    *

    Carry out routine lift servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs across a high-end static site.

    *

    Respond to breakdowns and call-outs efficiently to minimise downtime.

    *

    Diagnose faults quickly and deliver effective first-time fixes wherever possible.

    *

    Maintain accurate service records and ensure all works comply with current safety regulations.

    *

    Participate in a structured standby and call-out rota.

    *

    Deliver exceptional service standards in a high-profile, client-facing environment.

    Requirements of a Lift Service & Repair Engineer:

    *

    NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in lift engineering – Essential

    *

    Proven experience in lift service, repair, and maintenance – Essential

    *

    Previous experience working for one of the “Big 4” lift companies – Desirable

    *

    Strong technical knowledge across a variety of lift manufacturers and systems.

    *

    Experience working within high-end commercial environments is preferred.

    *

    Professional, reliable, and confident working within a prestigious setting.
