How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant Location: Lambeth
    Start Date: ASAP or September
    Contract: Full‑time, Term‑time
    Salary: £545 PER WEEK 
    About the School A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth with a specialist Autism Resource Base, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school is committed to high‑quality inclusive education, pupil wellbeing, and personalised learning, ensuring every child is supported to reach their potential.
    The setting promotes a nurturing, structured environment and works closely with SEN professionals to support communication, emotional regulation and independence.
    The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to gain hands‑on experience supporting pupils with Autism across specialist provision and mainstream classrooms.
    Key responsibilities:

    Supporting pupils with Autism on a 1:1 and small‑group basis
    Assisting with personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
    Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
    Helping pupils access learning in a structured and nurturing way
    Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and therapists
    Encouraging independence, confidence and engagementIdeal Candidate This role is particularly suited to graduates or aspiring professionals looking to build experience in SEN, including those considering careers in:

    Teaching (Primary or SEN)
    Educational Psychology
    Speech and Language Therapy
    Occupational Therapy
    Child or Clinical PsychologyYou do not need previous school‑based SEN experience, but you should demonstrate:

    A strong interest in Autism and inclusive education
    Patience, empathy and resilience
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    A proactive and reflective approach
    A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsGraduates in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, SEN or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
