How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Rossendale (BB4)

    Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (General Class Support)

    Location: Rossendale, Lancashire (Easily commutable from Rawtenstall, Bacup, and Haslingden)

    Salary: £95.00 - £110.00 per day (PAYE) - Permanent contracts available after trial period. Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

    Role Overview

    Are you looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant role in Rossendale? Our specialist school is seeking a dedicated individual to support a general class setting. This is a full-time, 5 days a week position starting as a temporary contract with a high likelihood of transitioning to permanent (Temp-to-Perm).

    Key Responsibilities

    Classroom Support: Provide high-quality learning support within a small SEN class.

    Personal Care: Comfortably and professionally assist with personal care duties (toileting, feeding, and changing) as required.

    1:1 Intervention: Work closely with pupils with ASD, SLD, and physical disabilities to help them meet their EHCP goals.

    Team Collaboration: Partner with the Class Teacher and therapists to ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

    Requirements

    Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker is preferred, particularly within an SEN school or care setting.

    Resilience: A patient, calm, and nurturing approach to supporting children with complex needs.

    Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is a plus, but passion and experience are our priority.

    Safeguarding: Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
