How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Project Manager

    Our client is currently seeking an experienced Small Works Electrical Project Manager to deliver projects in their contracts division across the City of London, typically ranging from £50k-£500k. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing turnkey contractor in the building and construction industry, working with highly regarded clients, offering a strong and consistent pipeline of ongoing works.

    The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing multiple small works projects from planning through to completion, overseeing site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and deliver electrical projects from design through commissioning, ensuring programme milestones, quality standards, and client requirements are achieved.
    Manage project coordination, including meetings, stakeholder communication, reporting, sequencing of works, and coordination of trades and work packages.
    Maintain strong commercial and contractual control, managing risks, variations, delays, EOTs, and ensuring compliance with JCT/NEC contracts and project governance.
    Build and maintain strong client, consultant, and supply chain relationships while providing a professional, client-facing service.
    Promote HSEQ, CDM compliance, and company standards while identifying opportunities to add value, generate additional work, and support business growth.The Ideal Electrical Project Manager Will Have:

    Certifications in Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification, valid ECS Card, and 18th Edition.
    Through knowledge of H&S procedures and their regulations and guidelines.
    Experience having full management of small works projects (£50k-£500k) on commercial or critical environments.
    Proven ability to manage teams and operatives.
    Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
    Happy to travel beyond London (on occasion).Job Details:
