Position: Fabricator

Location: Caldicot

Type of position: permanent

Salary: £33000 to £41600 per annum

Working 0700 – 1600 (Monday-Thursday) and 0700 – 1300 (Friday), 40 hours a week  

We are now seeking to recruit Fabricator/ Welder for a busy manufacturing company based in Caldicot. The appropriate fabricator would be responsible for welding and fabricating of structural steel components to engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate and weld metal components and structures according to specifications and drawings.
Read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
Operate various fabrication and welding equipment, including welding machines, cutting torches, vertical drilling, bending machines and grinders.
Perform quality control checks to ensure fabricated components meet specifications and standards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
MIG & TIG welding. 
Carry out cutting, grinding, finishing, and any additional fabrication (machining, fitting, bolting) required to meet design tolerances
Requirements:

Time served apprenticeship or similar in welding/fabrication
Background and Experience fabrication
Any relevant qualifications are a bonus
Experience/background working within a manufacturing environment
Good understanding of Health and Safet
Previous experience in using grinders, drills, oxy/acetylene cutting equipment, press brake, rolls will be required.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
