How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Project Manager / HV Delivery Manager Competitve salary + Company Car + Bonus | Permanent
    A well-established UK engineering contractor delivering high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / HV Delivery Manager to join its growing Delivery team in the Northwest.
    With a strong pipeline of work across switchgear upgrades, transformer replacements, and new grid connections, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of complex programmes while leading a skilled delivery team within a business known for quality and reliability.
    Key Responsibilities
    Lead the successful delivery of programmes of work involving HV/LV switchgear and transformer upgrades up to 33kV
    Oversee new grid connections and associated civil works
    Manage full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning and handover
    Maintain financial and commercial control across multiple projects
    Act as the primary client interface for project delivery and technical matters
    Produce and review project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation
    Provide line management, leadership, and mentorship to delivery team members
    Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
    Support wider business functions and contribute to team growthEssential Requirements
    Industry-recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM or equivalent)
    Electrical qualifications or completed apprenticeship
    Minimum of 7 years’ experience within the electrical or HV industry
    At least 2 years’ experience in a managerial or leadership role
    Strong knowledge of electrical distribution networks and substation construction up to 33kV
    Proven experience managing projects from concept through to completion
    Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills
    Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
