How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The role of Accounts Analyst Temp offers an exciting opportunity to support the financial operations within the insurance industry. This temporary position in London requires a detail-oriented professional to assist with financial analysis and reporting in the banking & financial services department.

    The organisation is a respected player within the insurance industry, operating as part of the banking & financial services sector. As a medium-sized company, it is committed to delivering precise and reliable financial solutions to its clients.

    Description

    Supported the end‑to‑end processing and payment of supplier invoices, ensuring approvals were obtained, invoices accurately tracked, and payments settled within agreed timeframes.
    Liaised with clients, third‑party providers, and suppliers via written and verbal communication to resolve queries promptly and effectively.
    Monitored and managed the Finance shared inbox, triaging queries, taking appropriate action, and escalating or assigning matters to relevant subject‑matter experts.
    Assisted with weekly accounting activities, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
    Supported the preparation and execution of wire transfer payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    Contributed to the month‑end close process, assisting with report preparation and analysis as required.
    Produced standard and ad‑hoc accounting reports to support finance and operational stakeholders.
    Assisted with the bi‑weekly client money calculation, maintaining internal Excel schedules to ensure IBA accounts accurately reflected funds held.
    Supported weekly cash allocation and bank reconciliation processes, including posting bank transactions to the accounting system and reconciling against bank statements.Profile

    Prior experience in a finance or accounts support role, ideally within a regulated or professional services environment.
    Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and third parties.
    Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial systems or applications.
    Highly accurate with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle financial documentation effectively.
    Well organised, able to manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines.
    A proactive team player with a willingness to learn and support wider finance processes.Job Offer
